Return In-Store
Home Depot stores offer a no-questions-asked return policy for most items purchased in-store. Customers are asked to bring their receipt with them for proof of purchase, and may be asked to show a valid photo ID. If a receipt is not available, the customer can still make a return, however the refund or store credit will be based on the lowest price of the item in the last 90 days.
Return Online
Home Depot offers an online return policy to customers who have purchased items online. Items purchased online may be returned to any Home Depot store or by mail. Customers are asked to include their receipt and fill out the return form included with their purchase.
Return By Mail
Home Depot allows customers to return items purchased online by mail. Customers are asked to include their receipt and and fill out the return form included with their purchase. Home Depot will provide customers with a prepaid shipping label to return the item. Once the item has been received, customers will receive a refund or credit to their account.
Non-Returnable Items
Some items are not eligible for return. These items include clearance items, special order items, and items that have been installed. Customers are asked to review the returns policy before making a purchase.
